Our Story

Growing up in a traditional Italian American family, food, especially pizza, has been a critical part of my life. Serving warm, crispy, cheesy, gourmet pizza has been a shared passion in my family for generations. I grew up hearing stories of my father working tirelessly in my Nonno’s (grandfather’s) pizzerias, tossing pizza dough in the air from a time when he needed a step stool to reach the ovens. Eventually, he and my mother embarked on their own dream and opened their own pizzeria, following the tradition held by his father and many other mentors. My brothers and I then spent our childhood learning how to make top-quality pizza, bringing it to the community with their guidance. Fast forward many years since the last pizzeria in our family, it became evident that the pizza lifestyle had begun to die down, leaving an emptiness in the hearts of pizza lovers all over The Bronx, my home borough. I chose to call on the experience of my lineage of gourmet pizza artists and fill that void by bringing you The Alley Pizza Lounge! Here, we’ll serve the same quality pizza, perfected over decades, to New York City and beyond. You can expect a table service setting with a fully stocked liquor and espresso bar, in a family-friendly, fun-inspired environment. The gourmet, unique pizzas on our menu will be artfully created with the same attention and passion cultivated by my family over the countless years spent perfecting our trade for the enjoyment of the community.
